Destruction of Oak Trees by Gold-Spotted Oak Borers is reaching the Antelope Valley
Gold-Spotted Oak Borers, that appeared in San Diego County in 2002, which have killed approximately 80,000 oak trees to date. It has since spread, and appeared in our sister town council area of Green Valley.
Slowing the spread will require great care and diligence on the part of residents and visitors to oak-forested areas. Do not take/use firewood from infected areas.
